Awful to watch my aged mother have to endure her stroke at this ER. No idea who is rating this place above a "zero", but they clearly didn't have a trauma manager who was doing a 'happy dance', because they "finally had a trauma!" (While ignoring all other ER patients, btw.) To see a dozen people stand and watch 3 capables do ACTUAL trauma work, all the while claiming "we're sorry sir...we are in FULL TRAUMA...dont speak to us!", was horrible. Do yourself a favor and BEG your EMT crew to take you ANYWHERE but Skagit.

The hospital is hard to find different departments as maps are way to much information and outside signs lettering is way to small, have to stop in middle of street to read them. Once inside would be nice to have colored line pathways to each department. Staff was very helpful and friendly which helps getting around.

The coordination of all my doctors and their support staff was speedy, efficient, and of excellent quality. Everyone I met along this path of treatment was caring, knowledgeable, and supportive. I felt that I received the best care possible. So proud of the Skagit regional Health Hospital organization.

I went to the ER today 1/4/22 with severe sore throat and fever. From past experience I thought I had strep throat. I told the sign in nurse my symptoms and she immediately started treating me weirdly. I go back and do my vitals and temp (both were in normal range) and come back out to a phone call. It was the hospital doing an over the phone registration because of my symptoms. I did a covid test and sat in the waiting room for 3 hours. A man with a suit and face shield came out screaming my name. I go back and find out I have covid. I WAS TREATED LIKE AN ALIEN. He avoided my questions and treated me differently because I'm not vaccinated. He used my phone flashlight to look at my sore throat and told me to take ibuprofen. His name is Dr. David Slack. Try to avoid this man at all cost unless you want to feel dumb worthless and embarrassed of whatever you're in the ER for.
