Can you clarify what you mean by "Why they wasting time?"
It's the wife that is wasting people's time by trying to shop without a membership. Work around (1) husband gets her a household member card (2) he buys her a gift card to shop with. Costco allows non members to enter and shop if they have one
If she's with her husband there should be no issue. However, if he's not present and it's his card, she wouldn't be seen as a member. I believe that you're able to get a card issued to one additional (so two in total) people living at the same address. Getting her own card would be fairly quick and very easy, then the problem of identity not matching the membership is no longer an issue.
