You can usually find a spot on the street on Admiral if you don't mind a short walk.
If it's sunny, you'll be looking for parking for a while... Alki is a Zoo when the weather is nice

Take the first spot you can. The walk is not more than a mile. Enjoy the area, especially on a sunny day. It's worth it.
Nearby is relative depending on the weather. If its rainy, a couple blocks. If its just chilly, maybe 4 or five blocks. If its sunny, you're better off taking a bus or riding a bike. Seriously.
