I don't know about California but I have had Mexican food in Texas. I think in comparison when you're closer to the border your going to get more authentic Mexican food.
Nothing like SoCal. Very bland in comparison. The food is flavorful, but not authentic Mexican in the least. The service is excellent!
I like this better the SoCal. If u want spicier, just ask and they will kick it up.
Not sure if it's like CA Mexican food, but it tastes great and great service.
Coming from SoCal myself this is the closest you're going to get in the PNW. Good salsa, good margarita. Some dishes can be limited on the spice but if you ask they can turn it up a notch.
Bland..everything we tried here has been bland with the exception of good salsa.
It's better than California Mexican food, more taste,. It's really delicious. Highly recommend
Closest I've found in the PNW... and I'm from Orange County
There are things I like about Montezuma's that are similar to California. What I like most about it though is that it's the seasoning isn't as heavy-handed as a lot of the Mexican food I had in California it has a slightly different flavor profile that is really really tasty and they'll make things as hot and spicy as you want. So your best bet is just to go and try it and decide for yourself. I love the place!
