I think it's super romantic in a nontraditional way. We snuggled up and watched the fireworks. Shared BBQ ribs and berries shortcake.
Many couples opt to do our cruises as a fun date night. Typically the dinner sails have fewer families on board than our trips that leave earlier in the day. The majority of the seating is informal as most people take their plates up on deck and eat there. We do have some formal table and chair seating below decks though. It's not a secluded and quiet meal experience, but I would assume that most people feel it is still a romantic experience. Please let us know if you have any additional questions. Contrary to the other answer to your question by Lori Wentz, we do not use paper plates on our dinner sails. We use real plates and silverware and you can take these up on deck. It may be that paper plates have been used in the past for some picnic sails, but that is not currently the case for our dinner sails.
Not to say it couldn't be a romantic evening for a couple, but I'd say it's more of a family/tourist adventure. Delicious food, but you'd either be sitting at a table near galley (kitchen) area down below or somewhere along the deck upstairs using paper plates. It's a wonderful trip!
