Only staff and trained volunteers interact directly with the educational birds.
There are always rescued birds on some kind of display. At certain times, volunteers and staff, bring the birds outside. However, they have extensive training and equipment to protect themselves, the bird, and the public. No, you can not hold the birds. Some of them would seriously mess you up.
