I have a baby bird that fell out of a tree. No parents in site for 2 hours. Took home and have in cage. Tried to call and no answer. What do I do?

Hi Molly - Our power was out but is now back up. You can call our Care Center again to get feedback on what to do next. Thank you!

The lines are down there right now. If the baby is fully feathered, it is fledgling, so best to leave where found. Stay away or parents may not come back until people and pets gone. If not fully feathered, return to nest if possible, or make a nest put of a container and attach to area close to where you found it if possible. Audubon web site has some info on what to do, also. Phones at Audubon are supposed to be up about 1 pm. I volunteer there so that is why I know some of what to do.
