Is there plenty to do here for younger children (especially earlier in the season when the pool is still closed)? Rates seem high to have to pay for mini-golf and paddle boats in addition to use of the campground.

Yes there is a gameroom and a playground. Lots of hiking places.living treasures animal park is close and 7 springs.

Yes there are actually ! Huge playground as well as a pool, kiddie pool, gameroom, mini golf, hiking and Laural Hill State park is located 3/4 miles up the road. Lot's and lots to do😊 The whole Family will enjoy!
