A few years ago, we sat by some of the bushes while waiting for my little sibling to get off a ride. We had left our stroller, loaded with bags by the ride. Suddenly, we heard movement by a tree near us. A man in light colored clothing approached our stroller and asked if it belonged to us. Once we confirmed it was ours, he touched his earpiece and said all was fine. We were pleasantly surprised. It reminded us of being in Israel. He told us that the security teams at the Mall of America, are trained by people formerly in the Israeli Defense Force/intelligence. After finishing our thirty second conversation, he disappeared into the crowd and I wouldn't recognize him if I saw him again!
Don't get caught up in the xenophobia. Being Muslim does not equate to troublemakers...just because those troublemakers claim to follow the religion does not mean they represent the faith or the other billions that follow the faith without causing problems. Honestly I have not heard of any issues there, especially so called religiously motivated ones. That being said the MOA security and services are great and I go there worry free with my kids all the time and have a great time. Never hurts to be aware of your surroundings though...Crazy has no religious or ethnic etc. leanings 😇...peace ✌
They've also started having K9 units walking with their guards...they're definitely ramping up and getting their new security firmed up for the SuperBowl. I think you'll be fine🙄
I think the mall of america is safer than other malls being that it would be on the first list for would be attackers makes it have more safe guards in place.
The MOA has increased in there security budget and the MOA is planning to start checking bags at enterences to the MOA and have more airport like security, also having more police officers on duty at the mall, along with qicker response when needed. I go there all the time and I don't worry about it.
No I wouldn't worry!
