Hard to say if it's high turnover or just out of date. Remember, Frye is a FREE museum and many staff members may be starting careers as volunteers.
Love the Frye! It's free because the Fryes endowed it so that it would always be free to the public, but of course donations are appreciated. They have a very professional museum staff. Likely some changes recently as a new director came on board last year. Sadly, no more free parking. The parking lot was sold and is being developed with residential towers. The neighborhood's changing but the museum remains terrific!
If there is as high of a turnover rate as you seem to be implying, your best bet might be to call for the most current info.
Id suggest going there and asking in person. If the website is not accurate, you have few options to answer your questions.
Mrs. Greathouse was the curator of the Frye for many years going back to the early 1970's. There was not many others until after her death. Ida Kay Greathouse, who turns 105 this year. The Frye’s longest-serving director, Mrs. Greathouse led the Museum from 1966 until her retirement in 1993.
I suggest you go there in person...
