The Falls are just a mere trickle right now. There has been little to no rainfall there as well. The river was low and warm. I would wait until the dry spell is over to make the most out of it.
Check the website or call the park office the day before you're planning on going. The Rangers will tell you.
I was there one month ago and it was great. I can't imagine it's gone in a month.
I was there a few years ago in aug. The falls were flowing... maybe not as much as they would in the spring but still a beauitful sight. Plenty of water to swim in and enjoy and worth the hike. You can also hike to the natural springs to swim or float on the Colorado river. Lots of water... just gotta work for it.
