Yes there used to be a train track that crossed Oso Bay. The current Holly Hike & Bike trail is on the old rail bed as acts as one border of the Preserve. The crossbeams and rails were mostly washed away during Hurricane Harvey, but the pilings are still in place. Officially the Hike & Bike trail and area near the railroad bridge are not within the Preserve itself, but also part of the City's Parks & Recreation department.
