When they did surgery on my dog they did everything they could yo keep the cost down. The final cost was actually less than the quote.
Like others have said, it depends on the surgery. Our Korgi mix had surgery on his ear for broken capillaries which continued to bleed and fill his ear with blood creating a huge pocket. The cost was around 500 dollars, but they took great care of him! He had over 10 stitches, a cone, and was placed on antibiotics. I believe he stayed overnight, as well. The injury was caused by him jumping into a body of water and getting water in his ears. This caused him to shake his head repeatedly to try to get the water out, breaking the capillaries. We at 1st thought he had gotten stung by something. Alvarado Vet did an amazing job. We also rescued a kitten who had an abscess on his neck. They had to put him under to fix it. He was about 8 or 9 months old. The surgery cost around 150 dollars. Best thing to do is call and ask the staff. Hope this helps.
They are a country Clinic and their prices are very fair. Just took my Yorkie Poo in to have a tumor removed from her ear and they showed me how having her teeth cleaned also was the same price as just having the tumor removed. They didn't have to tell me that they're just good people
It depends on the surgery. Took our tiny kitten there to have reconstructive surgery on his urinary tract and cost half as much as other vets.
