I've read you can let them swim where the canoes and boats are launched BUT they have to stay on leash the whole time, so you'll have to swim with them.
I believe that they are allowed. While visiting I did see several dogs on the beaches and public parks. A good idea would be to google the beach or park you want to visit it may give you a firm answer. Enjoy your trip!
