I know there are areas w/picnic tables and built-in BBQ grills but I'm not certain about playgrounds. Since Lake Thunderbird is part of the OK Park System, there is a ranger station, gift shop and information center right off Hwy 9. If you look up the web site it should provide you telephone numbers, hours the center and maybe even an answe to your question. Have a blessed day.
