In certain parts of the lake, they will charge a day use fee of around $6. If you go to Indian Point area on the Alemeda side of lake, you can swim and picnic for free.
Charla ..i was there almost everyday this summer. I live a few min away off alameda. The one side lasy name betty charged people same price as campera. The othwr side hog hpst did nt charge . She thought it was wrong. Pekple were all set up barbecuing and she rolled up ans told then to pay . They said theu arent patying $14 and she said ok ill send the park ra rangers down. Shes a real witch
Depends on the location.
If you are not camping overnight it is free to enjoy the park and swim for free in designated swim areas.
No it only coast to camp out
What maps doesn't tell you is that there's easily a dozen different campgrounds in and around lake thunderbird state park. They all have different fee rates, but they all seem to have those coin operated showers that makes me so very angry... It just depends on where you go.
No ,is free
If you go into any of the camp ground areas there's usually a $5 a day fee. The camp ground areas usually are nicer and cleaner and usually not over packed. If you just go to a swimming area in the summer time it's really crowded for sure. But like i said if you want to have a little more room to move around i would pay the $5 fee to have more room.
No its free
No, but in the summer time the park gets very full.
