Good question. Park personnel will not say anything if you take a pool and keep it on your campsite.
I'm not sure if they're technically allowed or not, but even though the main swimming area is currently closed, we saw several people in swimming attire traveling to and fro on a segment of the scenic trail just up the road. They were young adults, though, so I don't know how safe the area that they were swimming in is, but you would be swimming at your own risk regardless. If you really want to know for sure what the park rules are and if there are any other places where you are allowed to swim, though, it would be best to contact the park office directly. Those of us who have been to the park and written a review are not necessarily the most accurate source for that kind of information, and that's who you've asked this question to.
Not sure they are allowed as much as people still bring them and use them at their site especially for the little ones and doggies. You can still access the lake at points through out the camp grounds....
