Are the springs open right now? I’ve heard you have to snowshoe in. Trying to go on Saturday, without having to add 5 miles to my trip!

The gate is closed for the season. You have to hike further but can still get there

From the gate to the trailhead is an extra 1.5 miles approx. Snowshoes are only needed after a fresh snow storm. I usually hike in on a good set of snowboots
