Just to clear the air, they are not a kill shelter. I have over heard someone else asking and I have even asked them myself. If your'e not sure who to believe I suggest you ask them yourself. I mean there is a chance I could be mistaken. But because of the lovely, yet rushed service I've gotten in the past here, I think this would be a great place to take your dogs. If they let you. In the kennels in the back they have dog treats that passerby-ers can give them, and the dogs back there are loud but, I met a couple of dogs who were very sweet. Although the bed's don't look very comfy they are taken very good care of. So I suggest you take them here and I'm sure they will get adopted.
This animal shelter is cold an impersonal also it's a kill shelter. Try craigslist or local caring rescues. Noah's pets, dogwood rescue, dogma animal rescue . Much better places.
You can surrender your dogs to the Sonoma County Animal Shelter for a fee, but before you do that, I recommend trying on Craigslist, Re-home, Petfinder, different stuff like that. Animal Services should be your last resort.
