Umami Sushi does an excellent job of being safe. We come here regularly and have not even had a cold for a year! Seriously! We are very picky about where we dine out and they are THE BEST PLACE we have encountered since COVID19 hit. If you are afraid of getting COVID, stop going out of your house - PERIOD. Don't try to make the rest of us suffer for your paranoia. Stay home and save lives.
The COVID safety practices are very poor. Staff wear masks properly, but customers are crowded very tightly inside a small dining room without respect to masking or social distancing guidelines. Food pick-up is also very much unsafe, as you are required to stand in a small indoor waiting area at the entrance that is far too small to socially distance but will also place you close to unmasked diners.
