I was there Sunday evening and the deli was about 5 customers deep when I took a number. I think they just have a busy deli that may be slightly understaffed. But maybe contacting your local Publix and speaking to upper management or slipping a complaint/suggestion email to whomever deals with staffing would be enough of a reason for the store to make ordering food to-go less problematic.

I have noticed it too...but depending on how busy they are also sometimes the order seems to come in late
