Yeah u can swim and u have to pay to enter son's island.
If you go on the website there is a map/guideline that says which cabana is good for what - like shallow water, deep water, etc. The cabana allows 8 people including in the rental but you pay extra for additional people. Depending when you are booking determines the price.
Yes you can swim. For an 8 people cabana its 145. You have your own grill, hammock, pier. You can bring your own food and drinks
