The room was clean and well appointed. Check-in was easy and friendly, the staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was good with a variety of items. This will be our go to in Seguin.

Couldn’t believe the conditions of the room. First, upon checking in and going to the 4th floor, it was blazing hot up there. When I got to the room the first thing I noticed was clear packing tape serving some kind of patch job on the floor. Then, upon looking at all the mismatched baseboards and horrible tile work we began looking at the shoddy drywall work and imperfections. Upon getting a shower, my wife and I discovered that while walking around in the room barefoot, our feet made the tub black. We found a prescription med pill on the floor along with a Bobby pin. The trash cans had no liners and there was no Kleenex dispenser. The A/C and ice machine worked good. This is the worst Holiday Inn room I’ve ever stayed in, it also had a musky odor. I really like Holiday Inn Expresses, and this one started out ok. My room was ready when I arrived, the heat and AC worked, and it has the newer HIE decor. Unfortunately, the lack of attention to detail was so great that it drew attention to itself. It started with the lighting. Daylight bulbs, with their cold, moonlight gaze don’t belong in a bedroom. That, and they clashed with the warm glow of the strip lighting. The bathroom faucet was loose, the bathroom was full of mildew, and the soap bars were strip motel tiny and crummy. Oh, and housekeeping h missed my room. I called the front desk for it around 3:00 and they promised to send someone, but they never arrived. Not normally a big deal except the tissue box was empty and I really needed towels. The manger did solve that problem. The biggest disappointment came in the morning when I got my eagerly awaited cinnamon roll. Not the usual HIE Rolls but, you know, supply chain. Sadly, they were chilly and dry. Overall, it looked like a Holiday Inn Express on the outside but it was not up to the brand’s standards on the inside.

Staff was very helpful and friendly. Madison at the front desk, assisted me on a half dozen occasions! Room was acceptable but a little dated and the pancake machine was out of order so my wife was disapponted but overall a nice stay. Would recommend.
