How come the people of Foley get charged an extra 1 per cent sales tax while shopping there???

That's to pay back developer for storm drain improvements and such.

There arte other establishments like Hobby Lobby and I believe Big Lots where this is also added. When I asked management at Hobby Lobby I was told it's for those establishments to be here in Foley, like they are being paid back a percent to develop in the community.

Does'nt anybody know????
