It was my understanding they were starting to rearrange the store. Shrink the craft department, bring back the flowers and garden equipment outdoor section and do some modernization on the building. Now those rumors may or may be true
Meijer stores in the area are doing a lot of remodeling, not going out of business.

No! I shop for Shipt who, in this area, shop at Meijer. If anything, they are getting ready to remodel. As far as i know, they have redone Central Ave store, Maumee store, and currently doing Perrysburg store.
