If needed, sign up at hunter-ed.com and do the online course for Louisiana. Then you can look at the links for the next classes on the La. Dept of W&F site under education and Hunter Safety. They are all over the state, not just at Woodworth. HTH.
The 10 hr classroom courses are posted to https://register-ed.com/programs/louisiana/9-louisiana-hunter-education-classroom-course/agency:9 as Andy mentioned they are all over Louisiana. Also the class is 100% free. If you do a field day, you have to pay $17.95 for the online course. The online course https://www.hunter-ed.com/louisiana/ only charges you after you pass, but the department does not recommend this course for anyone younger than 14 years old. The field day still requires you to sign up for a 4 to 6 hr class https://register-ed.com/programs/louisiana/19-louisiana-hunter-education-field-day/agency:9 where the student demonstrates knowledge such as safe firearm handling and tree stand safety. Students are also required to take amd pass a 50 question true false test. The teachers also review some of the more important sections and make you watch some outdated hunting safety videos from the 80's.
