I live in Warner Robins a largely military town I attempted to reserve a room for family members coming in from out of town. I was told that the Hampton inn would not rent rooms to local people? What kind of policy is that?

I've had that happen in my hometown. The rule is there because 9 out of 10 times a local hotel room being rented by a local is for a hotel party only. Then more locals get invited and they could have a serious out of control party on their hands.

Unfortunately, that sounds like quite a mess. If it's possible please attempt to reach out to management to see what their take is on this. Persistence is key as I always say, so do try again. If they are unable to help you, I would recommend to you, try Holiday Inn Express.
