I think Pinkerton Park is a good choice for a family reunion. They have pavilions, playground, restrooms, canoe access, walking trails.
There aren't any formal picnic areas or Pavilions at this park. But there are plenty of open spaces to set up your own picnic tables or picnics in general. There are also several old historic homes with really nice porches that you might be able to use. I'd just suggest calling or emailing ahead of time to confirm. Pavilions can be rented at Jim Warren Park, Aspen Grove Park, Pinkerton Park, Liberty Park, and Fieldstone Park - but these parks are more "playground" like, whereas Harlinsdale is more open fields, pasture, hiking, pond, etc.
2021 no still no shelters And no plans to add these to the park
No
It's a great open space and even has a catch and release pond for fishing.
No, Harlinsdale doesn't have places for events other than the ones approved by the city. In addition to Pinkerton and Warren, you might check out Liberty. I'm not sure about picnic tables, but it is one of the less crowded parks in Franklin. Pinkerton is always crowded.
I have not seen any picnic shelters unfortunately, but if the weather holds up, there are really nice breezes through the fields on the hills. They also keep the grass cut reasonably short all over the park.
I'm not aware of any there. I know Pinkerton Park does, as well as Jim Warren Park.
