From the bottom parking lot it's a long haul from the top, the way down isn't bad but the hike back up is an ass kicker without a wagon lol
Definitely buy the shelter house st the bottom, it'll be easier leaving and you don't have to go as far to get to the water.
The stream road is one way, you start by the campgrounds I think.
