Beautiful place for a wedding!

From out of state visiting relatives. We've driven past Luther IA where the sign is located that directs to the arboretum. But today we decided we had time to go. In such a remote area, you find a very advanced and well-organized garden spot that provides a lot of things to see. Enjoyed the children's garden, butterfly garden and all the unique trees that are well marked as to what they are. Very much worth a visit!

Some paths are crushed gravel but the majority are dirt.
This is a walk-through arboretum with lush plant life; flowers, trees, butterflies, a children's vegetable garden and a gift shop. There is an admission box in the parking area. There are also walking trails across the road from the parking area.

Unfortunately due to being closed temporarily there will not be a fall sale

The bugs are probably japanese beetles. Are they metalic green on top with black and white stripes on their sides/belly? Picking them off by hand and putting them in a bucket with soapy water will kill them.
Pat, The arboretum is open from dawn to dusk. The parking lot gate opens at 12 noon on Sundays. Visitors who come before that time can park in the parking lot across the street and enter the arboretum grounds through the pedestrian gate (sign posted on the gate).
