Lots of loose gravel. I don't recommend biking there, but hiking is great
It is rugged and very raw in areas. When we tried riding one section in August it was covered in fallen tree debris, muddy, and somewhat hard to follow the path but other sections were better.
It can be wet in areas...if dry I think you will enjoy it you probably get some beachfront camping in a remote area.
It is very rugged. Trails are barely trails.
