A lot of times there's music at or near the beach right across the street. It's just under a mile walk to downtown Venice where there are lots of great restaurants and live music.
Pretty good restaurants very close, ice cream parlor too!! Its a very nice stroll from the hotel plus you get to walk off your ice cream lol
