There are multiple covered areas in this park, as well as a stage like set up an a "grand" pavilion for parties. To ensure no issues arise it's best to call the number posted(205)668-4492 at the biggest pavilion to reserve your spot. Typically when you do that you will usually pay at the town hall, an it's usually 15 dollars for 3 to 4 hours an they will give you some form of print out stating your reservation date an time frame
No you don't but if you want to make sure you get to use the large covered pavilion you should reserve it through city services. Otherwise its first come first serve.
