Actually, RAS has met the criteria for "no-kill" status for several years, however we do not use the label as it can be hurtful to animal care professionals and has been divisive for our industry.
They are not, but they do work closely with no kill rescues to save as many animals as possible! I know, because I take animals through a rescue from there. I know it's not ideal, but they aren't funded by the city like lollipop is.
