So my neighbor had a problem with a wire down. Some random stranger helped temporarily fix it. I suggeated she call the cable company. I just wanted to make sure no one got hurt.
Try one of them repair employees when you see them they could advise you.
Optimum, Alitice or whatever they call themselves these days is just another corporate entity that doesn't really give a hoot about you. So, do whatever you need to do but don't feel you are obligated to be transparently honest with them. As sure as hell they won't be transparently honest with you if they think they can get away with being deceitful .
