I don't think it's a problem with "most" pet stores, just some. As long as the puppies are well cared for and you are able to know the lineage of the puppy as well as the breeder of the puppy (and the breeder is reputable) you'll get a great puppy. Just make absolutely certain that you see ALL paperwork related to the puppy before buying along with registration paperwork if his parents are registered with a kennel club.
Hi Jordan, We are family owned & operated for over 30 years. We are licensed and regulated by State and Federal laws. We are State and USDA inspected. We work with several responsible breeders, many we have a relationship with for decades. Unlike rescues, All our breeders are USDA licensed, regulated and inspected. Our puppies have an information card that is clearly displayed in front of their pen and the card includes the name of their breeder. This information is also in each puppy's folder that is available to all our customers along with their birth date, lineage, complete health history - from birth to current date including their weekly weight/growth and at minimum bi weekly veterinarian health check up reports, also vaccinations, microchip#, etc. Often we have a pic of the puppy's parents included in their folder. Our breeder contact info and USDA inspection reports are also available in store. Feel free to visit our pups and talk to us for more info.
