I haven't felt the music was too loud. It seems appropriate to me. I'm guessing that we each have different tastes though. I have felt the music is fully heart felt, uplifting and everything it should be. While they play many contemporary Christian songs, Recently I've heard some of the old time songs such as Amazing Grace and How Great Thou Art. And I was so impressed. Especially with the lady who sang lead in Amazing Grace. One's taste and tradition are probably the biggest factor in liking the music or not. But it's still spiritual, uplifting words and sang for all the right reasons.
Alex, The first few times I came to Centerpoint the music threw me off because I was not use to being in a church where the music was that loud. I almost felt like I was uncomfortable or 'doing something wrong' because I was raised to be extremely quiet when music was played. Overtime, I found myself getting to know the music and hymns that are played. The music makes for such a good service and a spirit that is felt. Singing, clapping and being involved with the music also helps you be more aware and alert for the sermon that is given, being more perceptive and aware of the message. Many songs that are regular Christian music from amazon station, or pandora are played here regularly. I'm sorry you felt the music was too loud. The more you come, the more you may find yourself learning new songs and being more in tune with the wonderful musicians we have here at Centerpoint. There are connect cards that you can drop suggestions for songs or music being played.
Hello Alex I Can't Tell You Why the music is so loud, some people think it's not loud enough. I guess that's a personal preference As far as why Centerpoint does not play more old-time gospel music is because it by nature is a contemporary Christian church. And a contemporary Christian Church plays contemporary Christian music. I hope this
