Not usually. This is not something the town can control it depends on their migration and if a school is passing by. Usually the life guard on duty will have more info, or some vinegar(for the sting) if nothing else. A little tip, stand on the waters edge and look up and down the coast. If you see one washed ashore you're good to good. Two, keep an eye out. Three, probably safer to stay on the sand.

In February there was none that bothered us swimming. While walking we did see some jellyfish that were washed ashore. It is the Ocean, there will be something.
I did not see any jelly fish there in August & September.
