They are always full on the weekends. But we arrived on a Sunday without reservations. Are site luckily wasn't reserved. The rangers were awesome to help us reserve the site for 3 days. Good people.
I believe you do have to have reservations. It has to be online though or you can call the number for reservations. When i looked this week they were full through the weekend
