I went there recently, I was taking pictures When an officer asked me, what I was doing. That is a reserved area no pictures allowed. is that right?

OH. MY. GOSH! No that's not right, you have all the rights to take as many pictures as you want! That is a public park, I have taken pictures there, if this ever happens again, take his name and badge, unless you take a pic of a person and they tell you to please not take a pic of them, otherwise you can take as many as you want! Even a reserved area, like a pavilion is not out of bounds and if you're taking pics to post as a guide, you can do it with discretion of the people there, there is nothing wrong with that

I would remind him of a document called the Constitution, and that taking pictures on public property is protected by the first amendment
