A baby zebra was born the morning we were there. They do have a program of sorts that they talked about for breeding
Great question Lisa! Lion Country Safari is accredited through the Association of Zoos and Aquariums, meaning that we must meet high standards in all aspects of the guest experience, conservation and animal care. We have many species here on safari, some of which are endangered, that have been approved for reproduction in the past and currently. It is important that many factors are considered, such as the space we have here on property for additional animals, maintaining genetic diversity by mixing up breeding partners, and planning the future of the species that are involved. If you would like to learn more, the Saving Wildlife section of our website has some great info about the work that we do here on safari!
there's not too much stuff you can walk up to so I'm not really sure if they have a breeding ground most of it was in the car and far away it's not like you can really walk up to most of the animals most of them are dangerous but it's the point of the adventure they had no Adventure you know I mean just for Lion Country Safari I would want to experience the Safari
We saw a baby zebra.
Yes they recently got a new pride of young lions with hopes of new generations.
I believe so but most of the animals seem to all be adults. They have the space to continue growing each species populations there.
