The shuttle service is in the parking lots of the lower and upper falls. They have a time schedule that they do pick ups from each location. It is a 4 mile hike along the river .It takes 2.5 to 3 hours depending on what you want to stop and see. It's a very enjoyable hike. It is a one way hike.

There is a shuttle service but hiking it is the best way to go
Yes, it runs from upper to lower, several$ a person, probably would haul you ether way. Definitely make sure you're in shape and have a good pair of shoes.
Shuttle starts in june. Its closed for the season. Can confirm was there a week ago. The trail is currently only navigable using cross country skis or snow shoes. Otherwise i'd say its too rugged
We have been there twice. Once in the summer and once in the winter to see frozen falls. Did not see any shuttle service.
When i was there in July 17 there was no shuttle to connect the upper and lower falls. The only shuttle we saw was for the kayak rentals.
