We brought our 3 month old puppy there a week ago. Such a wonderful experience, though your dog does have to be on a leash your dog could definitely swim in the ocean in a more secluded space. Hope you enjoy, we surely did.
I didn't see anything posted one way or another, but I don't have a dog so I wasn't looking for anything. I did definitely see people with their dogs off the leash playing in the water. Perhaps the rule wasn't being enforced because there were only a few people there? There were no lifeguards that we could see either so maybe it was just too late in the day (6pm-ish) for any sort of authority to be there to say something.
