We were just there yesterday, not to camp, just to visit, and my step father who is a senior and a veteran (we are from NC) was denied both a senior and a veteran discount. 😡 I would almost bet they DON'T offer either discounts to people from out of state who wish to use their campsites. Mind boggling if you ask me and an awful way to encourage people to visit.
All ive ever seen was discounts for senior citizens and veterans from south carolina if they are purchasing the palmetto pass. I have been several times and have never seen and discounts available.
Discounts for seniors and handicapped only SC residents except for specials like snowbird and the ocean beaches except one have all been taken away for snowbirds while proces go up all year. I am senior and have handicapped tag and one sc park did not even want me to get handicapped camping spot at full price cause not SC resident and no senior discount cause out of state. After 15years of snowbirding you think they would at least give nominal discount for loyalty perhaps 10 or 15 Percent. At the parks that used to have it like huntinng island . Huntington beach and edisto. Re senior LA offers up to 50 percent . TN offers senior disc to all and 30 percent winter. Etc.
