Always be prepared for bugs of all kinds when out in nature. And check yourself before leaving. But I don't think it has any more or less than similar areas.

Pardon me for giggling...just about any wooded area is going to be home to ticks. The bright side? You can stay on paths where grass is low and wear appropriate clothing so as to not get them on you. We went in november and didnt come across any.

You should assume there are ticks anywhere you go camping with lots of trees. Did we see or experience any during our visit? No.

Any time you're outdoors you have a chance of getting bigger on you, but i have never gotten a tick off of me at mistletoe.
