Is this park currently open and is the dog beach open? I'm planning a trip but don't want to drive 2 and half hours with my dog if it's closed. Thank you in advance. :)

Open but you have to mountain goat down the dunes. Stairs are closed.

The water is up to the bank, so u will get wet for sure

Yes!! It's open, was just there yesterday. My dogs had a blast. Only problem is the "boardwalk" is closed but the park is open until 9pm. It's paid parking now, so if you haven't been in a while it's $5 for daily parking unless you have one of those beach/park pass stickers on your windshield.

The park is open. You can get to the dog beach, but the boardwalk that takes you to it is damaged, so you have to walk down a dune to get to it.
