I rented the sander and bought # 20 grid to remove glue from sticky tile on top of oak hardwood. It really didn't work and we still have 2 floors to go. What can I do to remove the glue? It's old, black amd still there, what do I do?

You are asking Contributors, it's best if you contact the your local Home Depot.

I've never used it or needed it, but I have heard of a product that is made specifically to remove the glue you are describing. I would ask Home Depot or Lowe's or, even better, a company that does hardwood flooring if they can recommend anything to help you. Lots of luck.

Deborah Tidwell, have you tried Murphy's oil. It's good at cleaning up. You can also try, oops.
