I feel you. I try to never go there anymore for that reason. I had experiences just like you described, but I liked to go there for the salad for me and pizza for the kids at a decent price. The last time I went, the salad bar was wiped. The only dressing was Italian. I saw many employees ignoring and chatting, so I decided it must be a new thing. They must have decided they are only an Italian place and only have Italian dressing. I thought that until they refilled the entire bar after the dinner rush went without salad. That plus the sub par pizza... I'm over it. It was a nice place when out opened, but, like the rest, they've gone down hill in quality and customer service.
That seems rare. You may have been there super late and they were closing up, or potentially they had just had a rush and were trying to catch up. Never experienced anything like it and I've been going to cicis for 10+ years.
All you have to do is ask and they will make for you . If you were there late they aren't going to keep it full to throw away
I told the kids never ask to go here again. I'd rather spend more somewhere else then get 3 choices of subpar pizza
