It was called Rose Island and was virtually destroyed by flood in the 1930's. Nature has reclaimed 99.9% of what was left. They have a great walking tour of the area though.
Everything has been wiped clean. Only random bricks, poles, and a filled in swimming pool remain.
A current aerial view would not be possible due to the tree cover. If you Google Rose Island you will find multiple pictures online of what it used to look like, and what it currently looks like.
You can't see much from Google Earth. We enjoyed the hike through the abandoned site.
It's somewhat amazing to walk around Rose Island. Not only had there been an amusement park, it had a zoo as well.
The walk has several pictures of what the historic buildings and surroundings looked liked before the flood. It's a great walk. Boats can still reach the island as well.
Only random bricks remain.
