Going west on hwy 102, pass up co rd 500 and the north park loop rd, then turn left into the park. Park your car in any lot and walk west on the paved pathway along the river. . You'll go thru an old covered bridge and after the next picnic area, you'll use a suspension bridge his over Rock Creek. From there the path goes by forest and river scenery for miles and miles.
They're all equally beautiful, you will enjoy the park no matter where you start.
I usually park where the reeds rental launch is, we walk right into the woods from there and follow that until we can't, if you look hard enough you'll find a small natural spring flowing down to the river.
